    Look into our unique scholarship opportunity for bilingual students to teach children with disabilities in New York City! A career in bilingual childhood special education (grades 1-6) may be open to you sooner than you think.

    Full scholarships for Adelphi’s 58-credit Master of Science in Bilingual Childhood Special Education are available through the New York City Department of Education. The program, offered at our conveniently located Manhattan Center at 75 Varick Street, leads to certification in childhood, special education and bilingual education.

      Eligibility Requirements

    •  Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree with a GPA of at least 3.0
    • Proficiency in English and at least one other language

    Criteria for Program Participation

    • Current pedagogical or clinical employees of the
    • New York City Department of Education are not eligible to participate in the scholarship programs
    • Applicants who have already achieved New York State or reciprocal state certification are not eligible to apply
    • If you already hold a master’s degree in education, you are not eligible to apply
