Accelerated Nursing Information
If you already hold a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing, Adelphi's Accelerated B.S. in Nursing (ABSN) program offers a fast-track pathway to becoming a registered nurse. Designed for full-time students, the program can be completed in just 15 months and offers Spring and Summer start terms. A passing grade of C+ and above in all required science prerequisites prior to the start of the program. Students who receive below a C+ in one required science prerequisite course within the past eight years may repeat that course one time. Any student who receives below a C+ in more than one science prerequisite course would not be eligible for the Accelerated Nursing Program. All science prerequisite courses must have been taken within the past 10 years. An applicant's academic history will be carefully reviewed and candidates may be requested to complete an interview with the ABSN admissions committee. Please note, the ATI TEAS is not required for ABSN applicants. Any prior grades in nursing courses will be taken into consideration. Students who have previously been dismissed from another nursing program will not be eligible. This is a highly competitive program; eligibility does not guarantee acceptance.
